FAQ: What happens once I become a Champion for the 20 Million Farmers Initiative?
Q: What is the next step after becoming a Champion?
Once you become a Champion, your primary role is to engage and onboard cooperatives and individual farmers into the 20 Million Farmers Initiative. This involves guiding them to fill out two essential forms:
- CR1 Form: For cooperatives or farmer groups.
- CR2 Form: For individual farmers.
Q: Can I represent my organisation?
Yes, if you are affiliated with an organisation, we can register your organisation’s name in our system. When a cooperative or farmer fills out the CR1 or CR2 form, they can select your name as their referring Champion. This ensures that we can track your engagement and accurately attribute your outreach efforts.
Q: What is my role in the carbon credit project development?
As a Champion, you will be regarded as a Carbon Credit Project Proponent. You will play a prominent liaison role—bridging communication and coordination between the cooperatives/farmers and the technical project developers. Your ongoing engagement will be instrumental in ensuring that farmers adopt and implement sustainable practices from Day 1, which is essential for qualifying and registering a carbon credit project.
