TARABA STATE UNITES FOR A CLEANER FUTURE: WORLD CLEANUP DAY 2024 RECORDS MASSIVE SUCCESS

The Initiative for Climate Change and Renewable Energy Advocacy, in collaboration with the Taraba State Ministry of Waste Management and Resources Renovation and the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Taraba chapter, successfully hosted World Cleanup Day 2024. Over 60 volunteers and staff gathered at the Taraba State Specialist Hospital and Taraba State University premises to combat environmental pollution and promote sustainable practices.

During the cleanup exercise, participants collected waste and educated the community on maintaining a clean and healthy environment. This initiative demonstrated the power of collaboration and community involvement in addressing environmental challenges. “We are thrilled with the turnout and commitment shown by volunteers and partners,” the Coordinator of the Initiative said. 

World Cleanup Day 2024 in Taraba State serves as a model for future community-led initiatives, inspiring collective action against climate change. The event highlighted the importance of sustained efforts in maintaining a clean environment and fostered community spirit and engagement. Partners praised the initiative’s impact on community engagement and youth involvement in environmental conservation.
